What can I do?

After 9-11, many of us asked, How can we help?  Now, more than ever, the Coast Guard and the volunteers of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, need your assistance. The following will be of great aid:

1. Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious or unusual activities to the Coast Guard on VHF Channel 16 or 9, or by calling  (718) 993-0950

2. Have everyone on your boat wear a life jacket (PFD) to show their support for the Team Coast Guard men and women on patrol

3. File a Float Plan to let your loved ones know when to expect your return and what to do in case of emergency - click here for a Float Plan Form

4. Consider joining the Coast Guard Auxiliary and put yourself, and your boat, to work in support of the Coast Guard!
Volunteer - for the ride of a lifetime
